A few months ago we decided to take a peaceful girls’ road trip to Crater Lake National Park in the Cascade Mountains of Southern Oregon. On our way to the Redwoods in California, we found an adorable place to stay two hours south of the lake in O’Brien, Oregon. This is a great place to stay right on the border of Oregon and California.

We found the cutest tipi campsite at the Lone Mountain RV Resort in O’Brien. Mom and Jena got cozy with a campfire, marshmallows, and a generous amount of wine, while I bravely protected the campsite and growled at every sound I heard.

In the morning, it was easier to see how beautiful and peaceful the site really was.

Rating for Lone Mountain RV Resort:
I gave this resort two paws up because we were beyond comfortable in this serene getaway in the woods. I’m typically an alert guard dog, but I was able to get cozy in the tipi and slept well through the night. The owner, Glenn, was a caring dog lover and waited up for us to get in after dark. He even had extra firewood waiting for us when we showed up. If you are ever taking a road trip from Oregon to California and need accommodations near the Redwoods, this is the place to stay! Mom said it was a great deal at only $60 USD per night. Here is a link to the property if you ever decide to check it out: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/515389?source_impression_id=p3_1561940635_RKzrI6UqOjff2Lis
I hope you enjoyed this magical adventure as much as we did.
